Generous grant from Richard King Mellon Foundation to fund establishment and operation of a third instrument station in Pennsylvania

CAMBRIDGE, MA/PITTSBURGH, PA — April 26, 2024 — The Galileo Project at Harvard University is thrilled to announce a generous grant of $575,000 from the Richard King Mellon Foundation. This grant will support the Galileo Project’s endeavor to establish a third observatory station, to be located in either Allegheny or Westmoreland County in Pennsylvania.

The Department of Anthropology at Harvard University is thrilled to share that Anthropology and History joint concentrator Laila Nasher ('25) was recently awarded a 2024 Harry S. Truman Scholarship. Nasher is among 60 students awarded for their “outstanding leadership potential” and “commitment to a career in government or the nonprofit sector" and will receive up to $30,000 in funding for graduate studies geared towards work in public service.

Κατά τη διάρκεια του τέταρτου ακαδημαϊκού μου έτους στο Τμήμα Παραστατικών και Ψηφιακών Τεχνών στο Ναύπλιο, πήρα την απόφαση να κάνω πρακτική άσκηση. Με τη βοήθεια του καθηγητή μας, κ. Αλέξανδρου Ευκλείδη, έμαθα για μια ευκαιρία πρακτικής άσκησης στο Κέντρο Ελληνικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Harvard στο Ναύπλιο, που σηματοδότησε και την πρώτη μου επίσκεψη στον οργανισμό.
